Public River Trips from Guildford Boat House
We also run trips for Groups and Schools
Whether you are visiting the Guildford area or know it like the back of your hand, chances are you may not have seen
this beautiful environment from the unique perspective of a boat on the river.
We can fix that, if you come and see us on one of our Public Trip days, which start on Easter Saturday and continue through to the last Sunday in September. Generally speaking trips are available at weekends and on Bank Holiday Mondays, with some weekdays added as we get towards the main Summer Season.
The Harry Stevens is a familiar sight as it cruises along the River Wey. Open-sided, with roll-down, see-through curtains for all weather protection. The "Harry" seats up to 60 passengers.
The trips offer the chance to see a variety of wildlife as well as a spectacular view of the Guildford skyline, all whilst travelling through some of the most attractive countryside Surrey has to offer.
The on-board commentary allows you to find out much more about the River and its history. Please see our routes and times below. It is also possible to combine your trip with a visit to the National Trust Visitor Centre at Dapdune Wharf, about a mile downstream, or a meal at Hector's On The Wey bistro at Farncombe Boat House, 4 miles upstream.
We offer two lengths of trip aboard the "Harry Stevens", at the following times:
Days - every Saturday & Sunday & Bank Holiday Monday; plus Wednesday from the end of May every day except Monday and Friday in the school summer break. Please note that party bookings occasionally mean our schedule is altered: see the trip running information below. It is safest to phone before travelling if you are committed to one particular trip; you can book places on a public trip by phoning us on the morning of that trip.
Please note we do not run trips on Fridays or Mondays (except Bank Holiday Mondays)
